Heartland Economics is the forest management division of Westbank First Nation and is responsible for managing the forest resources held by Westbank First Nation.
We are responsible for the sustainable management of the forest resources under our control including long term planning and analysis, site assessments, log sales, harvesting, tree planting and stand maintenance.
Any activity in our forest lands must pass the tests of being:
• ecologically suitable
• economically feasible
• socially responsible
